Peter and the Lost Boys is made up of five musicians who have found a home away from home together in Munich. Now they are going on a journey to share a new home-grown folk attitude. With guitar, bass, banjo, fiddle, piano, and extensive harmonies, they create a sound reminiscent of early Mumford & Sons, the Avett Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel, and all the best of Americana and Irish music. In their lyrics, Peter and the Lost Boys process the feeling of being lost in the world, the longing for freedom and the search for a home. Between the lines there is an indignation towards those who would cast us aside, as well as a sense celebration that only folk can evoke. Added together with stampable rythms and catchy melodies, any time spent with the Lost Boys is guaranteed to be a party!

Stefan Bischoff
Piano, Vocals
Stefan joined us in September 2020 on the Piano and with his voice to add a fourth harmony. The trained singer makes his living at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich, but in his free time he decided to support us with his amazing singing voice, that harmonises perfectly with Carolines, Peters and Alex‘. His humor and kind personality are an enrichment for the whole band. Moreover he evens the odds for the bavarians in the band, so now it’s 3:3.
We are always happy to weave his ideas into our songs and him being part of the creative process. Music is very important to him, that’s why he doesn’t like to be unprepared and spends hours of figuring out, rehearsing and listening to all kinds of music, just to get it the way he is happy with. Stefan is a dedicated and ambitious person who will do anything to bring the ideas in his head to life. He is not just a musician we enjoy to work with, he is also a good friend you can grab a beer with. Or more beers. Most definitely more beers.
We are very happy to make music with such a talented person and are looking forward to play some live gigs with him again, because afterwards he is always up for a drink. Always. Like literally always.
Caroline is part of the band since May 2020 and added more depth to the songs with her banjo. Originally she showed her talent as a pianist and singer on the stages of the world and still does, but since two years now she has also dedicated herself to the banjo. And it’s not just her unique way of playing, as well as her absolutely overwhelming singing voice that complements our harmonies and overall sound. Also she has one of her own songs on the album where she sings the lead vocals. Male and female voices often split the audience into two parties. Those who adore it and those who aren’t big fans. But with Caroline everyone is one the same page. Because her voice and the way she uses it is just fantastic. We are very happy that she decided to allow us as a Band to perform her song “Waves” on the album, because she is not just an outstanding performer, aside from that she is a great songwriter. Furthermore she could fulfil her dream of busking in the streets of Munich with the band and we hope to do that again as soon as possible. As the only female member of the band she has to put up with a lot, but she is one of the toughest, most straight forward and also funniest persons we have met, which made it very easy for her to find her place.
So shout out for a wonderful person and musician.

Julius Frick
Upright Bass
Another lost boy. This is the portrait of one of the most handsome men. Our bass player Julius Frick. A real Jack of all trades. He plays Piano, drums, harmonica, guitar and bass. With his 24 years he plays more instruments than other people their whole live. He started to play guitar when he was six years old and moved from Koblenz to Munich four years ago, when he started his studies in aerospace engineering. So he is not just good looking, he’s also smart. The whole package.
You can understand by looking at him while he plays, how Julius doesn’t just play music, but rather how he feels it. He is almost always on point like a living metronome and his fingers smoothly glide over the frets until he has found the perfect line, everyone is happy with. Which doesn’t take too much time at all.
He has a quiet personality that could give the impression, he likes to be a loner, but deep waters run still. Julius is always there for others, very companiable and thus a beloved party guest. Out of nowhere he can come up with a one liner everyone enjoys and all he does afterwards is keeping on being awesome, because this guy is as sharp as a knife and as cool as an ice cube.
This man is a terrific, witty, funny, kind and clever person with whom it is an honour to share the stage, time and a few beers.
Peter is one of the main reasons this bands exists. Without him, there would just be a lost boy, stumbling around in the dark without knowing where his journey would take him. But Peter gave him purpose, direction and meaning.
The voices of him and Alex already met in Regensburg when they had a little band together with one gig. They lost sight of each other and reconnected in Munich, where they started to make music together again. Peters voice gave Alex so much confidence. His vast knowledge of choir arrangements made it easy for him to find the perfect harmony to every song, which was good for the original Lost Boy, to try out different things and find his style of singing. Peter hasn’t played the violin in many years and was uncertain at the beginning, if he should bring this instrument back to live. But gladly he did. His unique way if playing gave us a special folky sound that makes you think of Ireland, Britain or America and all the places you would connect with a desire for music and nature. That’s why he is still able to surprise everyone at the rehearsals with what he comes up. We can’t count how often we all had goosebumps during the solo of gone or when his voice comes in and completes the rest oft he harmonies. On top of this his creative mind always helped shaping the songs into the form they are now. The version now of “I See Your Light” or „Dancing With Your Ghost“ was utterly different than the first raw draft.
Sometimes he doesn’t know how important he is, not just for the band as a musician, but additionaly for everyone personally and the people who’s life’s he touches in any way. His positive attitude and his jokes can take the pain away and make you smile, even if you don’t feel like it. But he doesn’t force it, it just happens.
He is one of the laziest, but also most brilliant people and nobody has deserved it more, because aside from that he is also a humble person that can’t deal to well with compliments. Even though he deserves much more than could be written in this short text.

Alexander Weindl
Guitar, Lead Vocals
Without our last member, there would be no band. We want to finally introduce the man behind the songs (and the Instagram posts), Alex! Alex is our front man and the glue that holds it all together. In December 2018, Alex formed the band as a duo with Peter, calling themselves Peter and the Lost Boy. This spring, he decided to expand the band and added the rest of us, and so we became Peter and the Lost Boys.
Alex has been playing guitar for nearly 20 years and has been writing songs for the last 10. Some of the songs on our upcoming EP have been floating around in his head for years, and they mean a lot both to him and to anyone who hears them. He is an absolute songwriting machine and comes to most band rehearsals with a handful of new songs to try out, most of them bangers. Alex is the motivation behind the band and everything we put out – the raw emotion behind the songs, the searing vocals, our artistic image. He is our dear leader, and even more so because he always cares what we have to say and listens so intently to our suggestions and ideas.
Anything that we as a band achieve will be because Alex puts his heart and soul into everything he does, from the lyrics of his songs to the friendships formed within the band. When the world opens up again, we are excited to see into what adventure he will lead the Lost Boys.
